Dr. Daylian Cain
Prior to joining Yale as full-time faculty in 2007, Daylian Cain was the Russell Sage Fellow of Behavioral Economics at Harvard. Cain teaches Negotiations, Sales, and Leadership at the Yale School of Management. He also teaches negotiations for the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs and Yale Law School.
Originally hailing from Nova Scotia, Cain has three master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in Business. He likes to say that he focuses on “why smart people do dumb things.”

Nathan Novemsky
Nathan Novemsky is Professor of Marketing in the Yale School of Management and has an appointment as Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Yale University. He joined the Yale faculty in 2000 after receiving his Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton University. He is an expert in the psychology of judgment and decision-making, an area that overlaps heavily with behavioral economics and consumer behavior. He examines the determinants of satisfying experiences, how the framing of decisions affects the choices people make, how individuals’ goals influence their behavior as well as other topics in judgment and decision-making.
